This past weekend, the SAMO Varsity Boys and Girls flew to New York City to compete in the Manhattan College Invitational. One of the biggest meets on the East Coast!

We rode the Subway, ran in Central Park, explored Times Square and Rockefeller Center and ate real New York Cheesecake!

And we also ran a race. A REAL Cross Country race! It was cold, rainy, muddy and hilly! We competed in the Eastern States Championship races and held our own against some of the East Coast’s best. Our Boys team finished in 20th place, led by Landon Kozmor and our Girls took 6th place, 1 point out of 5th! Led by Phoebe Benun’s 6th place finish!
